Date Night: Cyclones Playoffs

Dan's work team rented out a box at the Cyclones playoff game last night. I'm not sure I can go back to watching hockey from normal seats- the food, drinks & view totally spoiled me.

welcome to my world.

So, this week: it was crazy stress wise with a LOT going on at work. I skipped sleeping most of the week in order to stay up late doing analysis and finishing up presentations for leadership reviews that were happening throughout the week, but with the big one on Friday. So, Thursday night, of course, is when my monsters get hit with a stomach bug that had Jackson and I up all Thursday night in a vomit-clean up-repeat cycle. Thankfully, Nanna stepped in Friday to care for the sick babies while I went and presented my work before rushing back home to take care of them. Fast forward to Saturday where the fun continues. Audrey and Jackson are slowly getting better but not without a lot of drama, of course.

So, where is Dan in this whole saga? Well, sleeping soundly for one. And while he did thankfully put a big dent in cleaning up this vomit-wrecked house, he was more importantly- in his mind- doing this. No joke.

That's right, he was building himself a tree swing.

And that, my friends, is my life.

family date night.

Tonight we had an impromptu family date night: skipping out of the office a little early, dinner at a new "find" and a spring night at the park. Perfection. Oh, and throw in a chubby little girl with the most adorable pig tails and the perfect night just about goes through the roof.

{catching up} EASTER!

I uncharacteristically failed at capturing Easter in photos this year. I have zero from the Easter dinner we hosted at our house with Dan's family, none from Church and very few from Easter at my parent's house so you will just need to trust me when I say that Audrey's Easter dress was extra adorable and she chose the necklace herself- good girl, Peanut, good girl.

a new york minute.

I love New York, I really do. This trip was brief but so sweet. Catching up with a best friend, spring in the city, fantastic creative sessions, great food, meeting new people... and brief enough to enjoy it fully since I knew I would quickly be coming home to my little monsters.

...dare we say spring has arrived?

Reunited.

This morning before my meetings began I was able to meet up for coffee with my long lost best friend and college roommate, Katrina, who lives and works in NYC! It was the perfect way to begin the day.

a hoppy little easter.

This morning I woke up to these two peeps-loving babies who spent the day doing all things Easter. And now tonight I am going to sleep in Manhattan, writing this from my hotel bed, missing these little faces so much while they are most certainly fast asleep in sugar-induced comas...
