Hair Repair

Tonight Aunt Cherie gave Jackson his first official hair cut! The boy's hair was really beginning to look shabby. So much so that last week I got desperate and chopped a few pieces off with kitchen shears because they were the closest pair of scissors I could find. Thankfully we have a family full of hair stylists who are always on standby.
How to keep a hyper little boy still for hair cuts? Treats! Lots of treats.

Oh Jackson, give it up, you have a whole lifetime full of haircuts ahead of you from family.

That's better. Oh, this feels so good. Someone playing with my hair while I have a little snack.

Time to get rid of that party in the back.

Oh, Aunt Cher, can you take a little more off the side right here?

My handsome boy and his personal stylist! Ignore that face, he was happy on the inside.

what does the piggy say?

We are in deep-cleaning and organizing mode around here! While we continue to seek simplification by throwing out the old and unused here are a couple of new videos of Jackson- the first is where he is showing off his new trick that he is pretty proud of 'what does the piggy say' and the second is of his weekly dining date- this time breakfast... enjoy!

I'll be back more regularly later this week as I start to think through new goals for 2011 and reflect upon those I made for 2010.

Have the BEST day,
Jessica

We have been so blessed this Christmas in so many ways, my favorite being watching Jackson experience his first holiday season... and believe it or not we only half-way through our celebrations with family and friends.

Jesus' birthday cake

Dan and I were craving cake late Christmas Eve night. JP was already asleep. So, we videotaped ourselves singing happy birthday for his "memories" and then ate cake without him.

But, we did give him a taste the next morning. His first cake experience!

Not sure what to think...

Dan's genius idea on how to cool off a bottle of wine quickly

Bury it in the snow

He also insisted that the process would be even quicker if someone were to spin the bottle for a few minutes around in the snow, but nobody volunteered.

Big boys, little boys... they all play. No mercy.
