a thanksgiving catch-up.

...we're about a week behind BUT a few moments from Thanksgiving day.

The kids' table- some were happier than others about the Thanksgiving meal.

Continuing the tradition of building gingerbread houses.

Ben's working on a new smile for photos.

Buddies.

I oftentimes still cannot believe we're a family of five!

Best friends.

Happy is better than photogenic, right?

foggy morning.

this morning I woke up and on the spot made the decision to slow it down. this week has been filled with too much - too much work, too much traffic, too much stress, too much... of everything - and so in that moment I decided to work from home. the babies got to sleep in before going to nanna's and I got to avoid the commute and work in my pajamas beside the comforting glow of the Christmas tree. and the fog this morning? well, that was icing on the cake that is today- there's something so soothing, so peaceful about a foggy morning- something just so needed today.

Jonah the baller.

We are 100% biased.
But, think he is 100% talented.
(PS: he would play this game ALL day if he could... anyone for a pickup game?)

day 1.

Jackson has been counting down to our Christmas countdown for weeks.

Yes, a countdown to a countdown. I have no idea where he gets this from (!!).

So, when I came home from work on Monday they could wait NO longer and ripped opened enveloped #1 on the countdown... "build a gingerbread house!" The world's hardest-to-construct-house to be exact. They loved it. I'm positive Audrey ate more of the candy than she decorated with. Almost. 1 day down, 24 to go!
