Life on Cottage Hill: PAGES

We have been to the doctor seven times in the past 3 weeks. Seven times! That is most certainly a record by a long, long shot. I thought that someone had granted me a much-needed pass by letting me skip this round of germs in exchange for taking care of everyone else, but this afternoon I started to feel that dreaded scratchy throat and achy body. Looks like doctor visit #8 may not be too far away.

But, it doesn't really matter... this being sick thing. Because I know that we're all going to be fine. We've just got to charge through it, taking a little more time to blow noses, comfort the babies when they can't seem to stop coughing, to take play breaks to take medicine, to spend more time in the rocking chair... but to not let it get us down, to not let it define our days. Because if we did, we would be missing out on an awfully lot. Not the least of which is the fact that spring has arrived in the most beautiful way.

I think Jackson would spend every minute outside right now if we would let him. The hills and trees that surround our house become his playground and he does all that he can to cover every inch of it.

I'm not even sure Dan had a chance to walk all the way in the door from work tonight before Jackson had him by the hand leading him back outside. And I'm not sure Dan even minded. It's a toss up on who has more fun between those two when they're out there exploring.
This little post was interrupted by this little peanut. Poor thing is so overly tired from not really sleeping well for days. So, off we went for a little drive... a 45 minute one to be exact. The peanut has had enough and I am out of ideas on how to get her to calm down enough to fall asleep. Luckily, the drive finally did the trick, so I'm off to try to get her out of her car seat and into her bed without waking her... this could be really good (in bed by 11pm!) or really bad...
